Capabilities
Messaging
With Slack connected, Sands can catch you up on a channel, turn a thread into tickets, and tell the team what changed.
What you can ask for
| Action | Example |
|---|---|
| List channels | Which Slack channels can you see? |
| Read a channel | What happened in #launch this week? |
| Read a thread | Summarize the thread about the checkout bug |
| Draft a message | Draft an update for #website, don't send it yet |
| Send a message | Post in #website that staging is ready for review |
| Message a person | Send Dana the three open questions from this plan |
| React | Add a ✅ to Sam's message about the deploy |
Drafts and sending
Ask for a draft and Sands writes the message and holds it without sending. Read it, ask for changes, then say send. Ask Sands to send and, in Automatically approve, a message to one channel or person goes right away.
- Messages to more than one place, or with @here or @channel, always ask first.
- Sands checks the channel or person exists before anything is sent.
- A sent message cannot be unsent. A declined message is never sent later.
- Messages are posted by the Sands app.
