Using Sands

Projects and outputs

Conversations are where work happens. Projects group them, and the Artifacts panel keeps everything a conversation produced in one place.

Chats

Every conversation is saved. Recent chats are in the sidebar; Chats lists all of them with search. Sands names a chat after what it is about. Open a chat to pick up where you left off, including any plan that was open.

Projects

A project is a home for related chats, for example one per client. Create one from Projects with a name and a short description. Inside a project you can start a chat from its own composer, see every chat that belongs to it, and check which tools are connected.

Projects in Sands are separate from projects in Jira, Linear or Asana. Sands remembers which project in your tool you work in, so you do not have to name it every time.

Artifacts

The Artifacts button at the top of a chat lists what the conversation has produced: plans, reports and files. Open a plan from there to bring it back into the drawer.

  • Plans stay editable and can be sent or exported at any time. See Sending and exporting.
  • A deleted plan leaves the list. It can be restored from its chat card for 30 days.
  • Opening a plan closes the Artifacts panel so the plan has the room.

See Sending and exporting and Editing the document.

The address bar tracks the plan you have open, so a reload or a copied link returns to the same chat with the same plan. Only you can open your plans.
